Business as usual at The Repat for Flinders

It’s still business as usual for several Flinders teams who are staying on at the former Repatriation General Hospital site following the recent relocation of patients and staff to new and upgraded facilities across Adelaide’s south.

The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams, which include academic staff and students, will remain in the Health Sciences Building, 210-216 Daws Road, Daws Park.

Inter-professional teaching and practice research including the ‘Inspiring Health’ projects at ViTA in the Flinders University Clinical Teaching and Education Centre will also continue.

The Adelaide Institute of Sleep Health at Flinders University is remaining in C Block, adjoining the Health Sciences Building.

This team also has sleep laboratories on site that it will continue to use.

The new arrangements will continue to strengthen existing collaborations with ACH Group especially under the ViTA partnership between ACH, SA Health and Flinders University.

These collaborations combine best practice approaches to health and aged care with a focus on teaching and research that optimises the health and wellbeing of the community.
