International social work convention comes to Flinders

The Australian and New Zealand Social Work Welfare Education and Research symposium will be hosted this year by Flinders University, bringing the latest research, education and practices to Bedford Park over 20 and 21 September 2018.

Themed ‘Disruptive Social Work’, the 2018 symposium will encourage robust discussion around the interpretation of this topic by speakers and participants.

The event will be preceded by the National Social Work Field Education Networking Day on 19 September (also at Flinders), and include the optional symposium dinner on 20 September.

Presenters include keynotes Associate Professor Simone Ulalka Tur, Dr Ian Hyslop, Anna Kemp and acclaimed Indigenous performer Nancy Bates.
