Managing anxiety seminar

Dr Jill Newby of the Black Dog Institute will share tips for managing COVID-19 related anxiety at a lunchtime seminar this Thursday 23 April, which is free and open to anyone to attend.

The session will be facilitated by Dr Jan Orman, a Sydney based General Practitioner with a special interest in mental health and psychological medicine, who is also a facilitator in the Black Dog Institute’s Professional Education team.

The Black Dog Institute was founded in 2002 and is recognised as a pioneer in the identification, prevention and treatment of mental illness, and the promotion of wellbeing. It incorporates clinical services with research, health professional training and community education programs, with an emphasis on teaching people to recognise the symptoms of poor mental health in themselves and others, and providing the psychological tools to hold the ‘black dog’ at bay.

Participants at the webinar will have the opportunity to ask Dr Newby and Dr Orman questions during the session.

When: Thursday 23 April, 11:30am Adelaide time (12 noon to 12:30pm AEST)
