Disability Services Office door replacement
The entry door to Disability Services in the Union Basement is being replaced, with work scheduled from Monday 30 October to Thursday 2 November. The office will be closed while work is being done. Enquiries can be directed to Level 3, Health and Counselling Student Centre.
New Health2Go clinic space
A new Health2Go paediatric clinic space is being built at Sturt campus. Construction commences at Sturt East on Monday 30 October and will continue until 20 December. Areas affected by the works are in Sturt East Levels 2 and 3, as well as the vehicle turnaround space between Sturt East and Sturt North. Please be aware of increased construction traffic in the laneway behind these buildings.
NEW DATE for Health Sciences Building entry door replacement
Work on the entry to the Health Sciences Building has been postponed until Monday 20 November. As part of Flinders’ plan to improve inclusive access around the campuses, the entry door to Health Sciences building (on Level 3, across the walkway) is being converted to an automatic door. This means the door will be closed for the week commencing 20 November. Alternative building entry will be via Level 1 South and/or North entry. PLEASE NOTE: alternative entries are not accessible for people with mobility restrictions. If you will be affected, please contact Property, Facilities and Development as soon as possible on 8201 2733.
High-Voltage cable trenching at Car Park P7
A section of car park P7 will be closed from 27 October to 15 December while high voltage cable trenches are dug for a new transformer in the Biology Building. Alternative access parks have been made immediately adjacent to this area. Pedestrian access to Anchor Court will remain open, but please take note of signs and exclusion zones.
Lift replacement in Engineering Building, Bedford Park
Work is underway to replace the lift in the Engineering Building, which will take it out of operation until the end of January 2024. It is important to note that there is no lift access to Level 4 during this time. Mobility access to Level 3 is via car park P15, and to Level 2 is through the IST Building and walkway. Please contact Security on 8201 2880 if you need assistance with access.
Temporary relocation of Campus Bus Stop @ Flinders Station
Due to works associated with Sports Drive and the HMRB building, the Campus Bus Stop at Flinders Station has been moved to the other side of the road. Please take care and look for traffic as you cross the road.
Traffic management on Sports Road
Traffic management continues on Sports Road, with traffic reduced to one lane past the Health and Medical Research Building. Temporary traffic lights will be in place to ensure traffic flows are appropriately managed during peak times. Pedestrian access will be maintained beyond the site.
