International Open Access Week 2020

Flinders University Library is hosting and partnering within and beyond the University to bring you a series of events promoting International Open Access Week, next week from Oct 19th to 25th.

Open Access benefits researchers by broadening the reach of their research findings and benefits the international public by enabling them to access high quality research findings online without being excluded by financial barriers.

Flinders University Library Event:

The theme of Open Access Week 2020 is “Open with Purpose: Taking Action to Build Structural Equity and Inclusion”. Register now to join Prashant Pandey (Director of Library Services), in discussion with special guests Karen Ashford (Director, Media & Communications) & Professor Tara Brabazon (Dean of Graduate Research) as they explore the themes of Open Access in light of Flinders University Researchers and our emerging student researchers of the future.

Other Events:

The Australian Open Access Strategy Group have developed a series of events for Open Access Week across Australia and New Zealand with a timetable of stimulating guest speakers and workshops each day from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd October (11am -1pm AEST).
