In October, Helen Stuckey presented “What Retrogamers can teach the Museum” at the 2015 Museums and the Web Asia Pacific Conference, an annual international conference exploring research and exemplary applications of digital practice for cultural, natural and scientific heritage. The paper discussed how the curatorial practice of videogames can be advanced through an examination of the vernacular models and practices developed by online retro game communities.
We got some love on Amelia Bowen’s blog, and also on twitter #MWA2015:
You can find the slides here, and the paper can be viewed here.
