Y Connect Program – for young women living with a disability

YWCA

YWCA Adelaide is a “not for profit young women’s leadership organisation which has been providing a voice for young women and girls in South Australia since 1880.”

They run a range of programs, starting in primary and high school, through to workplaces and community settings which focus on:

  • advocating for greater gender equality
  • advancing women’s leadership
  • preventing and eliminating violence against women
  • promoting positive self-image

Their Y Connect program targets young women living with a disability who want to receive mentoring to improve their chances of finding employment or progressing their career.

The program includes up to 12 months of workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and networking.

There are several intakes across 2018.
