Repairs in car park 14 may cause some access issues

Overview: We try to update students with disability on works around the university that may impair access. In this post we reproduce some information sent to us from Properties, Facilities and Development (PFD) on upcoming works in car park 14. Reading time ~ 2 minutes

We received this update from PFD about works happening in car park 14.

As far as we can tell the disability parks in 14 won’t be affected but the surrounding area might be.

Hi all

A quick note to let you know that SA Power Networks is carrying out vital repairs to a 66kV oil-filled cable, which has an access pit in car park 14 at the Sturt campus.

As this will require ongoing access to the access pit on working days, approximately 12 parking bays will be unavailable from 7pm Tuesday 1 February. We anticipate at this stage that works will be completed by the weekend of 12/13 February.

Please see the attached map for the location of the repairs and the affected car parks.

Please be aware that there will be a minor traffic restriction in place as you transition from the lower side of car park 14 to the upper section. Due to the location of the service pit, a truck will be placed in this location to facilitate access. ar park
