The Oasis Centre is open!

Overview: Since COVID became part of our lives, the Oasis Centre has mostly been closed. In this post, we are happy to announce that it is open again. A place to escape the busyness of the academic day. Reading time ~ 2 minutes.

As of the 28th February 2022, the Oasis Centre is open again!

For those that don’t know about the Centre, it is located on the Bedford Park Campus, in the building opposite car park 5. Enter via the front doors and head downstairs and you’ll find a function centre with presentation, relaxation, kitchen, prayer and other spaces.

The centre is where our face-to-face programs like Mindful Yoga are held. It is also a space that many students used to use as an escape from the hustle and bustle of university life. Somewhere to relax, feel still, eat some food and recharge.

The team are very excited about being open again, given that the centre was closed for much for 2020 and 2021.

They are working to make sure that they have staff, chaplains and/or volunteers at the centre for most days/times, so there will always be someone to connect with you when you arrive. Please have patience as we restore this service.

Some activities at the centre are yet to be re-launched. For example, the Flinders Market is coming back but will take a couple of weeks to get sorted.

Otherwise though, the space is open and ready to be used again. The team would love to see you there. If you haven’t already, stop by and get a coffee keep cup.
