Wishing all students a productive and successful exam period

Overview: A quick note from the teams at HCDS and Oasis wishing all students a productive and successful end of the year. Reading time ~ 1.5 minutes.

The academic year is coming to a close! Exams are here. Final assignments are due.

It’s a busy time of year for your average undergraduate 🏃‍♂️💨

On behalf of the teams at Health, Counselling and Disability Services and Oasis, I want to wish all students a productive and successful end to the year. Yes, it can be a stressful period of time, but it’s also a chance for you to consolidate everything you’ve learned this past year and manifest that into your best work, whether that be in exams or final assignments, placements etc.

Whilst teaching is mostly wrapping up now (except for courses/placements running through the summer), all support services are still running, so if you need us or our partners, make sure to visit the Student Support Services page to locate exactly what it is you need.

If you want to get some exam preparation tips, including managing anxiety, try our series “Preparing for Exams“.

FUSA has exam support (i.e. free food and stuff) running for the next couple of weeks – see their Facebook page.

Library staff are around to help with all your information needs and are providing study tips and rest/reset/thrive activities – see their Facebook page also.

And look out for each other as well. If you’ve got peers who seem to be struggling, book in a quick coffee chat, study session or just send them some encouraging words. Let them know that you believe in them.

Whilst there is a lot of advice I could give at this stage, it primarily revolves around ‘work hard, be kind to yourself, meet the wins and the losses with self-compassion, and in darker moments remember how far you’ve come’. A bit naff, I admit, but relevant all the same.

Good Vibes coming your way!!
