24-7 MedCare

Just got an email about these guys – https://24-7medcare.com.au/

Offering bulk-billed 24/7 telehealth medical appointments.

Might be useful if there are barriers to you accessing one of our doctors (e.g. out of hours) or visiting a GP clinic (e.g. being on lockdown).

It does seem that to get it bulk-billed you will need a Medicare card (what it says in the patient information sheet).

This is what the website says:

Telehealth

We understand that it is sometimes difficult to access your regular GP or you just need a quick consult to ease your concerns. We aim to have Doctors available for a video consultation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Increasingly Australians are demanding quick, easy and efficient access to medical care and we aim to be there for you, anytime, anywhere.

24-7MedCare delivers the convenience of having a consultation from home or the office.  Patients may not like the wait of a clinic and want to save time. They are able to get an appointment or prescription quicker or they may be tourists or away from home and cannot see their normal GP.

Services our doctors can provide:

  • Medical certificates or issuing repeat prescriptions for medicines
  • Support for residents in aged care facilities
  • Mental health consultations, counselling and similar services
  • Routine chronic disease check-ups, especially if the patient is stable
  • Any consultation where the trade-off between attending in person and staying at home favours the latter
  • Common coughs and colds

24-7MedCare engages with patients and carers from all parts of the community. Our doctors understand the needs of patients, ranging from treating infants and small children to caring for the needs of older patients and those in our community with special needs.

Call us on 139 247 to book a phone or video consultation with a doctor.
