Another note from the Disability team on construction works happening at Flinders…..this time FMC Lecture Theatre 3
Hi everyone
Following on from last weeks email about the new project commencing to upgrade Lecture Theatre 3, I can now confirm construction will begin this Friday 3 December 2021. I wanted to keep you up-to-date with the schedule for the coming week.
From Friday 3 December 2021 the following works will be happening on site:
- Asbestos Removal (small section in flooring of the projection booth)
- Demolition of external wall sections (for new windows)
- Demolition of projection booth and seating removal
We anticipate the majority of these works will happen between 7:00am and 4:00pm. There may be minor disruptions in these areas during these times, including noise & vibration and minor access restrictions outside in part of the courtyard.
Thanks for your patience as we undertake these works to improve our facilities and support our students. At this stage, we expect that the project will be completed by March 2022.
