Unlock your potential with the Life Hacks Drop-in Sessions starting February 28th, where you’ll gain invaluable tools and insights from counsellor Chris O’Grady and psychologist Dr Gareth Furber based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy principles, enhancing your well-being and academic success.


Are you looking for some practical tools, techniques, and strategies to improve your well-being and academic performance? Do you want to learn how to increase your psychological flexibility and cope better with the challenges of life and study? If so, you might be interested in attending the Life Hacks Drop-in Sessions, starting 28th Feb!

The Life Hacks Drop-in Sessions are free and confidential sessions facilitated by counsellor Chris O’Grady and psychologist Dr Gareth Furber. They are based on principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a research-based approach that helps individuals live more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Each week, you will learn about a different topic related to well-being and performance, such as:

  • Understanding and managing stress
  • Dealing with procrastination and perfectionism
  • Developing self-compassion and resilience
  • Setting and pursuing meaningful goals
  • Balancing different domains of life

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and share your experiences with other students in a supportive and friendly environment.

The Life Hacks Drop-in Sessions will run every Wednesday from 2:10 pm to 3:00 pm during semester time, starting from tomorrow. They will be held at Oasis, the Student Wellbeing Centre, located at J7 on the campus map. No need to book, just turn up. Free tea and coffee will be available.
