As part of orientation I am talking about Flinders wellbeing services on the 21st February at Oasis. All welcome – new students, existing students, staff.
2023 orientation is coming up!
If you are a new student, you probably aren’t reading this blog yet, so….. umm…….[but if you are, WELCOME!!!]
If you are an existing student, your interest in orientation may be limited to knowing you can loiter around campus, pretending to be a new student, in order to get free stuff. It is an age-old strategy. I may have even used it as a staff member before (you can’t prove anything).
As part of the orientation suite of events, I will be talking about Flinders Wellbeing Services on the 21st February at the Oasis Community Centre from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Session will also be livestreamed via Teams.
Existing students and staff are totally welcome to this presentation. I’ll be talking about Health, Counselling and Disability Services and Oasis and highlighting the range of wellbeing supports that are available. The number of wellbeing services has grown to the point that even people who have been here a few years aren’t across all of them.
Staff – please consider letting new students know about this session if you are in contact with them before the session. You’ll find the session listed on the Orientation Planner under “Intro to Health, Counselling and Disability Services and Oasis”.
As an additional incentive, any new students who attend an Oasis program during the first two weeks of orientation, can go into a competition to win an eco-friendly summer wellbeing pack (see picture below). Prize includes: Beach bag, sand-free towel, portable bluetooth speaker, reef-safe sunscreen, bamboo cutlery kit, and an insulated drink bottle. Entry details provided on the day. I’m afraid existing students and staff can’t enter this competition – sorry!
