At the end of last year, a colleague and I were discussing creating a one-stop referral list for staff, so they could be aware of where to send students for different types of support. Turns out the Student Success and Wellbeing Advisors (SSWAs) were already creating one!
As a staff member at Flinders University, you may encounter students who need assistance with various academic, personal, or administrative issues. To help you guide them to the appropriate service, the SSWAs have created a new Support Services Referral Chart that provides an overview of the different support options available to students.
The chart covers a range of topics, such as enrolment, fees, scholarships, graduation, health, counselling, disability, library, careers, placements, IT, security, transport, and more. For each topic, you can find the contact details, location, website, and a brief description of the service.
Print it out, stick it somewhere near your desk, and the next time you are fielding a request from a student, this might help you more quickly navigate them to the right place. Click image or link for the pdf.
