RUOK is on campus on the 12th September

RUOK is an Australian-wide suicide prevention campaign that seeks to empower “everyone to meaningfully connect with the  people around them and start a conversation with anyone who may be struggling with life.”

The campaign revolves around the simple ideas of:

  • learning how to identify the signs that a friend, family member, peer or colleague might be struggling
  • asking them if they are OK
  • taking the time to listen to them and what they are going through
  • encouraging them to take action to find the necessary supports

RUOK will be on campus at three locations on the 12th September – the same day that the campaign is run around Australia.

  • Sturt
  • Law/commerce courtyard
  • Plaza

Get along to one of the locations from 11am  to 2pm to enjoy a boho picnic with FREE fruit, tea and coffee – not to mention the conversations, creativity, games, music and dance.

If you want to learn more about how to help a friend in need, visit the RUOK website.
