RUOK is an Australian-wide suicide prevention campaign that seeks to empower “everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with anyone who may be struggling with life.”
The campaign revolves around the simple ideas of:
- learning how to identify the signs that a friend, family member, peer or colleague might be struggling
- asking them if they are OK
- taking the time to listen to them and what they are going through
- encouraging them to take action to find the necessary supports
RUOK will be on campus at three locations on the 12th September – the same day that the campaign is run around Australia.
- Sturt
- Law/commerce courtyard
- Plaza
Get along to one of the locations from 11am to 2pm to enjoy a boho picnic with FREE fruit, tea and coffee – not to mention the conversations, creativity, games, music and dance.
