Mindfulness for Academic Success – July/Aug 2021

Just got notice from Maureen that Mindfulness for Academic Success is running again in July

This very popular program teaches mindfulness principles in the context of academic challenges and goals.

A pragmatic and highly relevant way for students to get into mindfulness practice or strengthen their existing practice.

Deets below

Mindfulness is being present and engaged in each moment of our lives. It is something that we can all learn, and research shows that it improves wellbeing and academic performance.

This innovative program consists of five 60-minute sessions over five weeks. You will learn to use mindfulness to:

  • reduce stress and anxiety
  • improve focus
  • stop procrastinating
  • communicate more effectively
  • study and work more efficiently (and with more enjoyment).

Semester 2 Dates

Wednesdays, 21st July, 28th July, 4th August, 11th August and 18th August.

9.30am to 10.30am

Each session builds on the one before, so you must commit to all five sessions, and be willing to undertake daily home practice. Guided audio meditations are supplied for home practice as well as notes from each weekly session.

The course is offered in person at Oasis, Bedford park campus.

Registrations are closed, but you can elect to go on a waiting list in case of cancellations. To join the waiting list, complete the attached form and return to Maureen.germein@flinders.edu.au. You can also email Maureen if you have any questions about the program.

Horizon points (4) available.
