Nina and Ellaine from International Student Services (ISS) provided me a brief report on the mid-semester Soccer and BBQ event they held recently. More such events are in the pipeline!
It was a beautiful day to be outdoors last Friday (26th September), and the ISS mid-semester Soccer and BBQ event couldn’t have landed on a better one.
Over 130 students and staff came together to soak up the sun, enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch, and take a well-earned break from the busy semester.
The event buzzed with energy and laughter. Some kicked off their shoes for a friendly game of soccer, while others danced along to the music, played outdoor games, or simply relaxed and caught up with friends.
Whether you were on the field or just enjoying a good chat in the shade, there was something for everyone.
Taking a little time outdoors with good company and fun activities is a great way to de-stress, boost your well-being, and top up on some much-needed vitamin D.
The ISS team was thrilled to see so many of you there and truly appreciated everyone who joined us. Thank you for making it such a vibrant and memorable day!
[Editor’s note: ISS have joined the Student Life team, so expect to see more of their content and events here on BetterU – what a great way to start!]
