Next week is National Nutrition Week and Flinders University has teamed up with the Adelaide City Council to offer free events and activations throughout the city from Monday 15 October 2018, helping people make small changes in their eating for big impacts on health and wellbeing.
Staff and students from Flinders’ nutrition and dietetics will be among the experts and advocates sharing their knowledge, tips and free resources at this concentrated week of interactive activities and displays to promote healthy eating.
Events and activations
‘Super Taster’ Genetic Testing & Cooking Demonstrations

Cooking demonstrations with free tastings, nutrition myth busting, and take a quick genetic test to find out if you are a ‘super taster’. Full event details

Healthy Menu Launch & Giveaways
- 16 October 4pm-7pm and 20 October 9am-12pm; Adelaide Aquatic Centre
The Adelaide Aquatic Centre’s new Eat Active heathy eating menu will be launched with giveaways and nutrition myth busting.
Cook Off: Uber Eats vs Home Cooking
- 18 October 11.30am-1.30pm; Adelaide Central Markets
Cooking at home is a sure way to ensure a healthy diet while saving time and money, see how it’s done at the Central Markets demonstration kitchen. On the menu are Aussie burgers and seasonal pasta.
Google Yourself Healthy

‘Are You What You Eat?’ Philosophy Café
