Last call for Studyology program starting Thursday 4th August at 6.30pm

Still time to sign up for Studyology program (or tell a friend). Reading time ~ 1 minute.

This is the last call out for any students who wish to do the Studyology (tackling procrastination) program starting this Thursday, 4th August at 6.30pm.

It is running for 5 weeks, in the evening, online in Collaborate, which hopefully makes it easier to attend for those whose days are pretty packed or who aren’t on Bedford Park Campus.

The program takes concepts from an evidence-based model of therapy called ‘ACT’ and applies these to helping you tackle any patterns of avoidance that you’ve developed in relation to your studies.

Procrastination is really common, both in students but in universities in general. When we are working on tasks that are challenging and important, there is always room for distraction and avoidance to derail our best intentions.

This program explores the psychological factors that can be driving that, and gives you tools for managing them.

Will it make you the robotic productivity machine you’ve always dreamed of being? Probably not.

But will it give you actionable tools for reducing avoidance and building a better relationship with your studies? Yep.

To RSVP, simply email me – gareth.furber@flinders.edu.au and I’ll provide the Collaborate details for the 4th.
