Reminder: Mindfulness for Academic Success Drop-in Sessions Start Today!

Kickstart your academic success with mindfulness drop-in sessions beginning today and continuing over subsequent Tuesdays!

Are you feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed by your studies? Do you want to learn some practical skills to improve your focus, reduce procrastination, and communicate more effectively? If so, you might be interested in joining our weekly Mindfulness for Academic Success drop-in sessions!

Mindfulness for Academic Success is an evidence-based wellbeing program designed for university students, that has been at Flinders since 2018. It is based on the idea that mindfulness, or being present and engaged in each moment of our lives, can enhance our academic performance and wellbeing.

The drop-in sessions are open to all students who want to practice some mindfulness exercises and learn some tips and tricks to deal with common challenges such as stress, anxiety, and procrastination. You don’t need any prior experience or registration, just show up and join in!

The drop-in sessions will run every Tuesday from 12:10am to 12:50pm during semester at the Oasis Student Wellbeing Centre. The first session starts today (27th Feb, 2024), so don’t miss this opportunity to boost your academic success and wellbeing!

For more information about the program, please visit this page or email counsellor Chris O’Grady at chris.ogrady@flinders.edu.au.

We hope to see you soon! 😊
