Looking for a more creative way to invest in yourself? Consider the Open Art Studio workshops run by the Flinders University Museum of Art (FUMA). Upcoming workshops on 15th May and 5th June.
Put this in the ‘I didn’t realise this was happening but stoked that it is’ category.
The Flinders University Museum of Art (FUMA) are running art workshops on campus for connection, creativity and wellbeing. They are called Open Art Studio. The workshops are for staff and students.
In their own words………….
FUMA’s new pop-up project puts creativity in your hands. Whether you’re a student or a staff member, this initiative is here to spark your creativity and offer a space on campus to connect through art making.
At Open Art Studio, we bring Flinders University alumni artists to guide you through techniques of artistic expression. The artist-led workshops will pop up at various locations like Flinders Connect, Law Court, Sturt and more. Wherever you are, we’ll be visiting to ignite your imagination and encourage creative experimentation.
FUMA believes art can inspire a new understanding of the world around us and we’re committed to enriching the learning experiences of students. We look forward to welcoming you to the magic of art at FUMA’s artist-led Open Art Studio!
Open Art Studio is supported by Flinders University Museum of Art and the Wellbeing and Campus Activation Initiative.
What is coming up……
There are two upcoming ‘Wear It Proud‘ workshops on the 15th May and 5th June, both at the Flinders Tavern. These workshops have a specific theme:
“Ready to make a statement? … In this hands-on workshop with local artist Sam Howie, you’ll have the chance to speak up about what matters to you. Whether its social justice, environmental activism, gender equality, or any other cause close to your heart, let your creativity flow as you design and create a personalised badge to wear proudly.”
