Mindfulness for Academic Success Online

Due to some technology related issues, we’ve had to put this session on hold for the time being. But it is coming soon! Stay tuned

One of our regular programs, run by counsellors Bec and Maureen is Mindfulness for Academic Success. It is a 5-session program that teaches students how to apply mindfulness practice to improving the study experience.

When Coronavirus hit, we had to put that program on hold, because it is typically run as a face-to-face program.

But over the past couple of weeks, we have been getting some of our programs online through the Oasis Online FLO topic (all students and staff welcome to sign up).

As a lead-in to getting the full program online, Bec is offering a 1-hour introductory session via Collaborate on the 15th May. Deets below.

Mindfulness is being present and engaged in our lives. It is something that we can all learn, and research shows that it improves wellbeing and academic performance.

This 60-minute session is taken from our popular five-week Mindfulness for Academic Success program. You will learn:

* what mindfulness is

* how to practice it in a simple but powerful way

* how it can assist in actively managing your wellbeing during Covid-19

All welcome, no prior experience necessary, and those familiar with mindfulness are also encouraged to join.

15th May at 2.00pm
