If you’ve come across BetterU before, you’ll hopefully know it as a wellbeing hub for students – a place for students to find supports, services, resources, programs, and practical ideas for looking after wellbeing while studying at Flinders.
It is the grown-up version of the Student Health and Wellbeing Blog, which I kicked off in 2017 and haven’t broken yet.
One of the best ways that students find out about support services is word-of-mouth and staff are critical in that process.
I developed the attached slide (click to get the PowerPoint) for the Orientation peeps but am making it available here as well in case, beyond orientation, you are interested in promoting BetterU to your cohorts.
Any help we can get in spreading the word about BetterU is hugely appreciated.
Included with the slide, in the notes section, is a brief script you might use to describe BetterU. It contains the specific call to action that we use when promoting BetterU, which is to subscribe.
Obviously, this could be integrated into an existing PowerPoint presentation, but it would also make for an OK advertisement in a Canvas topic.
