Final Be Well Plan Opportunity for this year (2021) πŸ›‘

Update: Additional dates and formats announced for being able to do the Be Well Plan before 2021 finishes. Register here: https://qualtrics.flinders.edu.au/jfe/form/SV_cSheSbetc7AMw0CΒ

We are running 1 more Be Well Plan for 2021.

Now is your chance to get access to this mental health and resilience program before it finishes up for the year (it will return in 2022).

Delivered online and in the evening, this program is accessible for all students regardless of campus or study mode.

What is it?

The Be Well Plan is a 5 x 2-hour interactive series of workshops (face-to-face or online) in which we will teach you how to build a tailored wellbeing and resilience plan that you can use at any stage of life to get yourself back on track, cope with difficult times, or simply enhance your mental health and wellbeing.

We cover a range of interesting topics (self-compassion, thinking errors, resilience planning, thought defusion, coping strategies, mindfulness and more) and introduce you to a catalogue of wellbeing-related activities from which you can pick different ones to try out in your own life.

We don’t just focus on what kinds of activities are helpful for building mental health, we also focus onΒ howΒ to get those activities embedded into everyday life. We cover goal setting, habit formation and how to build a strategic and deliberate β€˜plan’ for how you will care for your mental health.

Why should I do it?

Think of it like personal training for the mind. In the same way as you need to learn how to look after your body, the Be Well Plan teaches you how to look after your mind.

And given that you are doing a university degree, your mind is pretty important πŸ€”

Another good reason to do this program whilst you are a student is that you get it free, whereas you’d have to pay for this program if you weren’t a Flinders student.

When is it? πŸ“…

This instance of the Be Well Plan will be run over 5 weeks, starting in October. It is being held online (in Collaborate) in the evening to make it easier to attend for students whose days are packed. When you RSVP, make sure to throw these dates into your diary.

Session 1 – 6th October – 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Session 2 – 13th October – 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Session 3 – 20th October – 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Session 4 – 27th October – 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Session 5 – 3rd November – 6.00pm to 8.00pm

How do I RSVP?

Just send me (gareth.furber@flinders.edu.au) an email with your name, FAN, student number and ‘Be Well Plan’ in the subject line. I’ll then send some information and reminders in the lead-up to the program starting.
