Mindfulness for Academic Success: City Campus Edition


Hey there City students!! This news is specifically for you and involves the availability of an excellent program for improving your academic life. Get in quick though, it starts on the 18th March.


Do you ever find yourself struggling with focus, feeling overwhelmed by deadlines, or battling procrastination? University life can be demanding, but what if there was a practical way to train your mind to handle stress more effectively and improve concentration?

That’s where Mindfulness for Academic Success comes in. This free, evidence-based program is designed specifically for university students to enhance focus, manage stress, and boost overall wellbeing. The good news? In 2025, we’re offering a City Campus edition, led by counsellors Haidee and Sam, making it easier than ever for students studying in the city to get involved!

What is Mindfulness for Academic Success?

This program isn’t just about relaxation—it’s about training your brain to engage with your studies more effectively. Over five weekly sessions, you’ll learn:

✅ How to use mindfulness techniques to enhance focus and reduce distractions
✅ Strategies to manage stress and stay motivated
✅ Practical exercises that can be integrated into your daily academic routine

Each session is designed with students in mind—no prior experience with mindfulness is required. Whether you’re new to the concept or have dabbled in mindfulness before, this program will give you valuable tools to navigate university life with greater ease.

There is a whole new generation of Flinders students who will only ever really know the City campus. It is a growing campus and slowly, but surely, all of our programs are making their way to that campus. The City edition gives city students the chance to access this excellent program, without having to traipse to Bedford Park.

Program Details:

📍 Location: Flinders City Campus
📅 Dates: Tuesdays for 5 weeks – 11:00am – 12:00pm – Begins Week 3 – 18/3/2025 (excluding Semester break)
Duration: 5 sessions (1 hour each)
💰 Cost: Free for Flinders students
