23-27th March is Success Week at Flinders

Most students don’t need a complete study overhaul, just small, steady upgrades over time, and Success Week is a great place to discover what those next improvements could be.

If you are reading this (having clicked from our newsletter), it is probably Success Week, like right now.

If you are reading this after the 27th March 2026, then this is merely a historical curiosity of the internet world.

“Success Week is about empowering you with the tools you need to succeed at Uni and in your future career. Join us for two special initiatives to build momentum for the year ahead. You’ll be introduced to academic, wellbeing and career support services designed to help you thrive.”

When I joined Flinders in 2017, we had just one ‘Orientation Week’.

But there was so much that we wanted to provide new students that these themed weeks (success, connect, wellbeing) were added to the roster.

They are like extensions of Orientation week, focused on specific aspects of the uni experience.

Success week is all about the skills, tools and supports for academic success.

There are two key initiatives of Success Week in 2026.

I heartily support you joining one of them. I will be doing the gratitude challenge and you’ll find me in the FLO site with some reflections.

Helpful Habit Hacks Challenge 🔁

Build better habits with this guided challenge designed to support your wellbeing, movement, and study skills. Choose a simple daily habit to focus on – such as gratitude journaling, increasing your step count, or practising recall and reflection for study – and commit to small, manageable changes over time. Along the way, you’ll learn about habit formation, track your progress, and experiment with strategies that work for you. take me there –>

Success Seminar 🎤

Hear directly from current Flinders students about what has helped them succeed at uni so far. This panel-style session offers practical insights into student life, along with an introduction to key university support services. You’ll also hear from teams across the University – including learning support, library services, advocacy, and wellbeing – so you know where to turn for help throughout your studies. take me there –>
