2024 has been a great year so far for doing some amazing training and self-development alongside your degree. Announced today is Horizon’s Semester 2 2024 catalogue of events.

Are you looking for some extra skills and knowledge to boost your academic performance and career prospects? If so, you might be interested in the workshops and events being offered by Horizon in Semester 2 2024.

Horizon is a program that helps you develop your personal and professional capabilities through a range of learning opportunities, such as workshops, seminars, mentoring, volunteering, and more. By participating in Horizon, you can also earn recognition on your academic transcript and ePortfolio.

I’m lucky that I get to work with the Horizon team a bit, both Tony and Tom. In fact, I’ll be co-presenting one of the trainings this Semester on Stress, Resilience and Mindfulness – come along we can hang out!

What I like about Horizon’s approach to professional development is that their offerings sit in a great space between personal self-development and work-ready foundational skills. Your degree teaches you what you need to know about your discipline. Programs like Horizon teach you what you need to know to be successful in the workforce.

In Semester 2 2024, Horizon has a variety of workshops and events to suit your needs and interests. Key themes include self-awareness, conflict resolution, stress management, public speaking, teamwork, growth mindset, workplace integration, problem-solving, and innovative thinking.
