The semester is well underway now. Notice any procrastination creeping in? Studyology (the tackling procrastination program) is running across two timeslots, starting the week of the 12th August. This online, group program teaches you the psychological reasons we procrastinate and explores ways of tackling it.
Studyology is our Flinders-created program for tackling procrastination. It runs over 5 weeks, 5 x 75-minute sessions online.
We explore the psychological mechanisms that lead people to procrastinate and then develop a psychological routine that helps disrupt some of these. Technical stuff aside, it can also just be good to spend some time with others who are in the same boat, trying to improve their study habits.
We didn’t run Studyology in Semester 1, but we got a good response for running Studyology in Semester 2, so much so that we are actually running two instances of the program alongside each other!
These will be the only times Studyology is run this year, so get in now if you want to do this program in 2024.

Being online, there is always room for more, so if you’d like to join either one, you can just email me (gareth.furber@flinders.edu.au) with the subject heading being the option you prefer. I’ll then send out a meeting invite so you can add the sessions to your calendar.
Those of you who have already RSVP’d, you should have invites in your email to both sessions. You can pick the one you like. If you haven’t received those invites, get in contact with me on the email above.

Oh, and Studyology often gets confused with Studiosity, which is a service out of Student Learning Support Services which offers writing feedback and real-time learning advice. Also, an excellent program!
