Good news came my way via the Oasis Manager Jamie – yoga is back at Oasis!
Yoga is back!
Kicking off on August 28 and running for 8 weeks until October 16 (week 11!), join us in the Oasis Common Room on Wednesdays at 10am for a 45 min yoga session focused on mindfulness, restoration and wellbeing.
Yoga combines a mix of movement, poses, breath work, meditation and relaxation exercises that has great benefits for physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing (links to all the reviews the library holds on benefits of yoga – Om yeh!). There are many different styles of yoga which offer varying degrees of difficulty and benefits so it’s worth trying a few different types to see which fits best for you and your body.
Our Mindful Yoga sessions are a gentle style, suitable for all ages, physical abilities and fitness levels so there’s no need to be able to turn yourself into a human pretzel!
…unless you want to – we’re all about inclusion here! Every person and pretzel welcome🥨
But seriously, no experience is needed, come as you are, and our wonderful instructor Shoba will guide you through it.
Shoba will be the friendly face guiding you through our gentle practice each week. She has trained in Sivananda Yoga but was introduced to yoga and meditation at a young age by her father who believed it was an ideal way to lead a healthy and balanced life.
Shoba specialises in yogic techniques that offer physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Most importantly though, she is skilled in holding a safe and inclusive space for anyone to explore and benefit from yoga and can provide adaptations to meet a range of individual needs.
A message from Shoba:
“allow me hold space for your beautiful self & community to Breathe, Stretch, Strengthen, Relax and Heal. You will leave feeling Refreshed & Rejuvenated. LOVE LIGHT & HEALING Always, Shoba xx”
So, see you Wednesday, 10am on the mat? (we’ll even supply the mat! But feel free to bring your own)
