Counsellor Chris has hit his strides with wellbeing programs planned for 2025

2025 at Flinders promises a standout year for wellbeing with a packed program of mindfulness, stress management, and support initiatives led by Chris O’Grady and the team—offering something for everyone to thrive! Get the heads-up on some of the key programs in this post.

2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year for wellbeing at Flinders. There will be the launch of Better U (more information coming soon) and a packed wellbeing program schedule.

One of the key reasons we have such a great schedule of events is counsellor Chris O’Grady, who, with colleagues has put together a great selection of programs. Whether you’re looking to manage stress, build mindfulness, or simply take a breather, Chris has put together something for everyone.

Here are some of the highlights for the 2025 program. Where relevant, I’ve included links to where you can find more information about the program and register your interest:

  • Mindfulness for Academic Success: A 5-week program tailored to help you stay present and focused in your studies. Perfect for improving concentration and easing stress during busy semesters.
  • Life Hacks Drop-In Sessions: Every Wednesday, swing by for practical tips on everything from time management to phone addiction. These sessions are designed to give you quick wins for your wellbeing. Schedule for 2025 coming soon.
  • ADHD Support Group: A supportive, 12-week space for students navigating ADHD, co-facilitated with Christine from Disability Services.
  • 🌟NEW 🌟Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction: Dive deeper into an 8-week program to cultivate resilience and manage life’s challenges effectively. More details coming soon.
  • Online Mindful Meditation: Can’t make it to campus? Join the mindful community online every Tuesday for a quick recharge and connection with others. More details coming soon.
  • Mental Health First Aid: Equip yourself with life-saving skills in one of Chris’s F2F or blended training sessions. Updated information for 2025 coming soon.

As you can see there is a strong theme of mindfulness in Chris’ programs, from simple guided sessions through to advanced mindfulness-based stress reduction – drop-ins to deep-dive programs, there’s something for everyone, no matter your schedule.
