Mental Health First Aid – Places Now Open for Semester 1

Some of the most sought after training we provide is Mental Health First Aid. Semester 1 dates and times are now live.

Would you know how to help if a friend or classmate was struggling with their mental health?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training that teaches you how to recognise, support and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis until professional help is available.

MHFA was developed in Australia and has become a global movement, with over 8 million people trained across more than 50 countries worldwide.

In this practical course you will learn how to:

  • Recognise common mental health problems
  • Support someone experiencing distress or crisis
  • Guide someone toward appropriate professional help
  • Respond with confidence in real-world situations

On completion, you receive Mental Health First Aid accreditation that lasts for 3 years, a valuable qualification that is increasingly recognised by workplaces and organisations as evidence of strong mental health literacy and leadership skills.

These are powerful skills that can help you support friends, family, and the wider community.
