I am a child of the blog and email generations. It is why I run a blog and still do mailing lists.
One day I might venture forth into new mediums, but our mailing lists remain a primary channel through which I communicate stuff. And given that I tend to focus on slightly longer-form content, they remain one of the better options.
Our primary mailing list is the BetterU one with almost 3000 subscribers. If you are reading this, having clicked through from an email, you are already on that mailing list (go you!).
If not, you can join here. Emails on this list go out weekly and cover a diversity of wellbeing topics, drawing from the latest news and articles added to the BetterU website.
But I also run a couple more specialised mailing lists. Specialised in terms of topics that is, not technology.

The first is the Procrastination Mailing List. Subscribers to this mailing list get an email every 3 weeks on the topic of procrastination and other related productivity topics (e.g. time management). Email content is inspired by the Studyology program, a program developed here at Flinders that teaches a mindful approach to tackling procrastination. This is the mailing list to be on if you are compulsive delayer and it is starting to annoy you. 100+ students have joined this little community. Topics covered in 2025 included study intensity, types of procrastination, procrastination apps, self-efficacy, motivation and more.

The second is the Be Well Plan/ Mental Health Mailing List. Subscribers to this mailing list get an email also every 3 weeks on the topic of mental health and how you look after it. Email content is inspired by the Be Well Plan, a mental health and resilience program that was running here at Flinders and that I am committed to reviving in 2026 (once I have cloned myself). This is the mailing list you join if you want to learn practical and actionable strategies for looking after your mental health. 60+ students have joined this little community. Topics covered in 2025 included happines, wellbeing experiments, emotions, writing for weelbeing, therapy with AI and more.
Both of these specialised mailing lists have been running for a while now.
