Too much choice is perhaps as bad as no choice at all (it can be paralysing). And there is quite a bit of choice when it comes to wellbeing programs as a Flinders student. But we’ve got all of them on the one page to make browsing easier. I hope you find something that can improve your university experience.
One of the jobs of BetterU is to keep track of the various wellbeing programs being offered out of Oasis, HCDS, and Student Life.
As such we maintain a page with the main programs and resources listed.
There are 24 listed on there at the time of writing and I’ve checked them to make sure they are up-to-date for Semester 2, 2026 (although if you do find anything that seems out-of-date, please let me know – gareth.furber@flinders.edu.au). There is quite the variety there, from written resources to individual skills programs to social events to food access and more.
If you are a returning student and thinking about how to make Semester 2 a bit different to Semester 1, consider grabbing one of our guides or signing up to a program like Mindfulness for Academic Success.
If you are a new student (first, welcome!!), these programs and resources, along with what is offered out from our partners at Student Learning Support Services, International Student Services, Careers and the Library, are how students accentuate their university experiences, building knowledge and skills that help them in their studies, but also in their lives outside of study. You absolutely don’t have to do them, but they’re here if you need/want them.
If you have any questions about the programs, feel free to pop them in the comments below or email me at gareth.furber@flinders.edu.au. Happy to try and point you in the right direction.
